Bob's Banana Hammock
After the game last night, we figured we’d try and find a movie or something to watch. We’ve got a remote control you can talk to like Alexa, or Siri, or whatever. I sometimes call it Bob, but it never answers me, but it will have the TV screen show suggestions of things that contain the word Bob, but it doesn’t answer me directly. I suppose it’s still “dumb” technology, but if the toaster starts talking to me, I’m unplugging everything.
I press the microphone button on the remote and before I can utter a word, my youngest kid yells out,
“Banana hammock!”
The screen showed us options for programs or films that started with the word ‘banana’ and some that contained the word ‘hammock’, but nothing with both words together. We all had a good chuckle about the options and I tried again. I pressed the button, begin to speak and,
“Banana hammock!”
Ooh, the suggestions weren’t even close, but they were varied. Lots of laughter, I exited the suggestion screen, still with a smile on my face. Waited a beat or five and pushed the mic button again.
“Banana hammock!”
My kid yells again . I think the TV had a stroke. It blinked a few times and we saw things like “Buddy Mike” and stuff that had nothing to do with bananas or hammocks and then this title appeared partially.
“I Have Tourette’s...” is all we saw on the screen.
My sides still ache and my face still hurts. Bob might actually have Tourette’s.

Bahahahaha
